Overview:

Charleston Tech Support is a family owned and operated technology business based in Charleston, South Carolina. Founded in June of 2005, the company serves the Charleston area with on-site technology support, training, and solutions for businesses, students, and individuals.

Letter From The Owner:

I’m fairly new to the Charleston area, having grown up in New York most of my life. My wife, on the other hand, has many roots here in the Low Country and convinced me to finally pick up and move our family to the south.

We decided to go into business for ourselves, starting an eBay based business selling vintage costume jewelry and other goods. Having worked for so long in the information technology field, I decided to start a consulting business as well.

As for qualifications, I attended Katharine Gibbs in Manhattan where I earned an AS in computer networking and maintained a 4.0 GPA. I also attained CompTIA A+ certification as well several other computer related certifications. I started my technical career running conduit and wiring low-voltage electrical systems for an electrical contractor. I then moved into the graphic art world, taking classes in graphic design. I worked for a Madison Avenue advertising agency where I cut my teeth on the Macintosh platform as well as setting up Unix file servers, phone systems, and high-speed networks. I spent most of my technical career working for huge businesses such as Viacom and IBM, supporting thousands of end-users. I have also worked on major productions for MTV Networks such as the Video Music Awards and New Years Eve in Times Square.

One of the exciting services that Amy has brought to the table is CompuKids. Having two wonderful children of our own and exposing them to the world of computers at an early age inspired her to bring that experience to Pre-Schoolers in the Charleston area.

We have had the joy of having very diverse careers in technology, and bringing that experience to you in the form of dedication, know-how, and hard work is our pledge to you.
